SUPARCO National Poster Making Competition: Next 50 Years in Space

On the occasion of 50th anniversary of Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), Pakistan’s national space agency, SUPARCO is organizing a National Poster Making Competition. Students between 8 and 11 years of age (as on April 27, 2011) are invited to design a poster on the theme “Next 50 Years in Space”.

1st Prize: Rs.15,000

2nd Prize: Rs.10,000

3rd Prize: Rs.5,000

Poster Rules

Poster should be on paper of minimum A3 size (11″ x 16″) and maximum A2 size (16″ x 22″)

Means of drawing / painting: pencil, crayon, water color, oil painting, computer drawing, etc. Photos are not acceptable. Posters should be 2 dimensional only (no elevation or pasting of any kind allowed)

The poster must not include words or slogans and must not represent any particular individual, organization, or brand name.

Each poster must have the name of the participant, age and school’s name and address in English on the back of the poster.

General Rules

1. Schools desirous of participation are required to register with SUPARCO (details at the bottom).
2. Only one Poster per school may be submitted for competition.
3. A poster should be an individual effort of a child.
4. Deadlines for registration and Entry submission are April 7, 2011 and April 27, 2011 respectively.
5. All Posters submitted for competition shall become the property of SUPARCO.
6. Winning posters could be sent for international level poster competition.
7. The results would be available on SUPARCO website by June 30, 2011.
